A basket for those who might like to ditch the plastic version and use instead a classic British design to carry the washing. John reproduces a wet washing basket pattern that was once made by an old London basketmaking workshop. This basket was also called a 'flasket' in some regions.
Hanging out the washing is a lot more enjoyable when it's done using a white willow laundry basket. This basket is made in peeded, pale straw-blonde coloured willow which, in the trade, is known as 'white' willows.

I try to supply willow colours as close as possible to the natural colours illustrated in the photos above, give or take slight variation in natural 'white' willow. Whilst the colours shouldn't be at all dramatically different, please allow for some very slight variations in natural peeled willow colours.
