Constructed with sturdy and durable natural brown and green willow, this log basket was originally designed for pea harvesting before the age of mechanization. However, the attractive shape has since been repurposed to hold logs and kindling sticks and is available to order in three different sizes.
Small:
Width 41 cm x Height 32 cm (c.14.5"to the top of the handles).
Width 16" x Height 12 5 " (37cm to the top of the handles).
Medium:
Width 48cm x Height 37cm (43cm to the top of the handles).
Width 19" X Height 14.5 (17" to the top of the handles).
Large:
Width 54 cm x Height 42 cm (49cm to the top of the handles).
Width 21" X Height 16.5" (19" to the top of the handles).
All baskets are handmade by John in small batches in his workshop in the market town of Lanark, UK, using only UK-grown willows.

I try to supply willow colours as close as possible to the natural colours illustrated in the photos above, give or take slight variation in natural willow bark. Whilst the colours shouldn't be dramatically different, please allow for slight variations in natural willow colours.

Absolutely beautiful
I ordered a medium basket for our new stove and fireplace. It surpasses everything else I have seen in shops, in terms of design, looks, quality/durability and also the wonderful smell. Absolutely worth the money for what you get, and I have since gone on to buy a shopping basket and wet laundry basket, with which I am equally delighted. It is fantastic to be able to buy British and support John, one of very few basket weavers left in the country.
