The Market Basket is inspired by the baskets once made by Travellers in Scotland who would coppice the willows for their basketmaking on land they returned to year after year. Crafted from natural willow, this basket is perfect for visiting farmers markets and can also function as a work, hobby, or tool basket. Its durable design is made to withstand time.

Lovely craftsmanship

I received my shopping basket today and I'm absolutely delighted with it. So beautifully made and it reminds me of taking a similar basket to school with my cookery ingredients in. That was a long time, and at least this time I won't be spilling vinegar from my soused herrings in it!! I'm using it to keep my embroidery in and will leave it in the lounge as it looks very attractive. Thank you.

Go retro and say NO to plastic bags

I started off my obsessive collecting of John's baskets with this beauty. I was so glad of having my own basket when the Pandemic hit - Shopping made even more sanitised and safe - not having to hold any other baskets other than my own, made so much sense. It also started many a conversation with people of all ages about , how we 'had those at school for home economics' and 'my mum had one', In fact, I loved it so much ...... I bought another one ! it still smells utterly Devine. I have even bought some for friends who now look 'retro' with me but who also love their baskets.
