This basket is the traditional picking basket design used on farms and in orchards once-upon-a-time to pick all sorts of fruit and vegetables. The handle is of the type made with twisted willow rods, making it almost rope like to form a strong carrying handle. The willow used to make this basket is natural 'Black Maul' variety of brown colour willow.
