Here is a traditional shopping basket design in the classic colours of peeled buff and natural willow.

Length 45 cm x Width 34 cm x 23 cm tall (approximately 39 cm tall to the top of the handle).

Length 18" x Width 13.5" x 9" tall (approximately 15.5" tall to the top of the handle).

All baskets are handmade by John in small batches in his workshop in the market town of Lanark, UK, using only UK-grown willows.

Delivery is £4.95 for this style.

I try to supply willow colours as close as possible to the natural colours illustrated in the photos above, give or take slight variation in natural willow bark. Whilst the colours shouldn't be dramatically different, please allow for some slight variations in natural willow colours.

Beautiful.

Such a beautiful piece of hand craft. I am so pleased with my shopping basket. We already have a garden basket given to us as a gift so I knew the shopping bag would also be excellent quality

Large shopping basket. Absolutely stunning.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with my basket! John could not have been more helpful when I was making my selection. I will definitely be adding more to my collection. The wee handwritten note from John in my parcel was such a lovely touch!

Stops traffic!

Not only is it easy to handle, I have been taken down nostalgia lane, as my mother and just about everyone else, used these baskets when I was a young limb (I'm not that old either). Many a young limb working in the shops, have expressed how lovely the basket is, that and how COVID safe it is ..... I put my shopping into my own basket, then it gets checked out by me and reloaded by ....me. I even had a gentleman stop traffic and allow me to cross a busy town road, in order to tell me he remembers his Mum having exactly the same basket........ the bonus being - NO PLASTIC, its robust and stops me spending too much on stuff I don't need- what is NOT to like ......?
